I’ve been reading and studying the Bible since I became a
follower of Jesus when I was 25 years old. Sometimes I feel very dull of
hearing and sometimes the words of this great book echo in my soul. I’ve been
reading in Titus and have been enjoying these verses:
“For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared
to all men, Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should
live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; Looking for that
blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus
Christ; Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and
purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.” Titus 2:11-14
KJV
There is so much here I don’t feel qualified to
elaborate on it but have enjoyed it immensely. It is definitely worth
meditating on! I have tried other translations like the NIV and the NASB which
are good translations but I’ve come to enjoy and love the King James and keep
going back to it. Please enjoy these verses in whatever translation you prefer.
